Universal Law 5: The Law of Cause and Effect
The Law of Cause and Effect states that nothing happens by
chance or is coincidental. Everything
happens for a reason, because every action we take (cause) has a related reaction
(effect). In physics, this is expressed
through Newton’s third law of motion (“To every action there is an equal and
opposite reaction.”) This Law requires us to take responsibility for everything
that happens to us, because we created it.
The expression “We reap what we sow” is an apt description of this
Law. Because energy moves in a circular
fashion, the saying “What goes around, comes around” is also relevant here.
To make this Law work for you, begin now to recognize how
your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions come back to you and in what
form. That is, do you find yourself
smiling at people and getting a smile in return? Or when in a bad mood, do you
just glare at people and get a glare right back? It is better for us to consciously create our
reality rather than being totally unaware of what we are drawing to
ourselves.
For example, if you feel that you are not having a good day,
you can change it for the better:
(1)
Notice what is going on inside your head (the
cause, which are your thoughts) and what is happening outside of yourself (the
effect).
(2)
Do not judge; just be an observer.
(3)
Ask what thought(s) brought about the conditions
that are existing now.
(4)
Ask how you can change your thoughts to bring
about more positive circumstances.
(5)
Remember how you feel when things are going
well, and re-create that feeling, which will allow you to think of something
positive and light-filled.
Universal Law 6: The Law of Compensation
The Law of Compensation is very closely tied to the Law of
Cause and Effect, because it relates to abundance in the physical world. It explains the blessings that come to us as
a result of the deeds that we do in service to others.
The flip side of this Law means that we have successes but
also have challenges or hardships.
Everything gained has a loss involved too. Nature demonstrates beautifully the balance
and equilibrium that must be maintained according to this Law.
Look at the natural cycle of the seasons. The growth in spring produces beautiful
leaves on the trees that are that unique shade of green, and on into summer the
leaves continue to provide shade and beauty.
As fall approaches, the green turns into the beautiful fall colors of
red, orange, yellow, and eventually brown before dying and falling to the ground. Winter comes and all nature appears to go to
sleep, lying dormant and getting ready for the burst of growth in the
spring. Then the whole cycle continues
in a perfectly orchestrated and balanced way that demonstrates the Law of
Compensation. There can be no spring
growth without the dying process.
Therefore, when there is a challenge or difficulty in your
life, realize that this is the Law of Compensation at work, and this cycle will
eventually give way to success.
So why do we need to
be aware of this Law?
It is important because if we want abundance in our lives on
both a material and spiritual basis, then we must remember the balance of
giving and receiving. It is all about
service to others rather than service to self.
If we are in a helping career and we focus on truly helping others
rather than how much money we will make in the process, then this Law will
allow financial abundance and success to flow to us. If we forget about the service to others
aspect and think mainly of the money we will get, then that will hinder the
energy flow of abundance and we will end up with less than what we think we
deserve. It is as simple as that.
An associated Law is the Law of Tenfold Returns, which says
that whatever we give is returned to us ten times the value of our gift. Our gift of return could be related not to just
financial abundance but to other types of abundance that are in the spiritual
world. For example, a kind deed could be
returned to you by having others give you kindness and support multiplied by
ten.
We need to be aware of the Law of Compensation because it
shows us the need to release any feelings of there not being enough abundance
to go around. If we are in a poverty
consciousness, then this fear will block any abundance that is coming to
us. So remember to change your mind set
to “The Universe is abundant, and there is enough for all.” A good affirmation to say daily to yourself
is, “Abundance comes to me effortlessly,
and I am grateful and I deserve it.”
In the next blog, we will discuss the Law of Attraction and
the Law of Transmutation of Energy.

Every effect has a cause. Every
consequence has an antecedent. There must be perfect balance between the cause
and effect, between the antecedent and consequence. The law of compensation
keeps up the balance, and establishes peace, concord, equilibrium, harmony and
justice in Nature. Think deeply. Reflect and cogitate. You will notice that
this law of compensation is operating beautifully everywhere in the phenomena
of Nature. It on
