Bi-Weekly Tarot Reading:  8-24-14 through 9-6-14

Blog #24:  How to Raise the Energy Level of Your Home

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

THE MOON: The next two weeks will have periods of uncertainty or lack clarity. Just go with the flow, knowing that when the time is right you will realize the path to take or the decision to make. It will be a good time to trust your intuition, so use your sense of inner knowing to best advantage. seeing this time as an opportunity to practice using your intuition.  We are not expected to know all the answers immediately, so be patient as you wait for clarity.
5 OF COINS: When rough times come up, be sure to ask for the help of friends or family. We all need assistance at some point, so seek the advice or support of others when you feel it is necessary. At the same time, be grateful for all that is good in your life.  You can come up with at least one thing each day to be thankful for, and this will help you through any challenges.
7 OF CUPS: There may be several choices ahead of you, and you may be feeling overwhelmed and unsure about what to do.  This is a time for you to look carefully at all of your options, considering them logically and analytically.  Narrow down the possibilities to two, identify the pros and cons of each, use your rational mind to think through them, rely on what your intuition is telling you, and then go for it. Believe in your heart that you are making the right choice for you at this time.

BI-WEEKLY THEME: Things may not be as clear-cut and definite as you would like them to be. It is a chance for you to believe in yourself and your intuition, and to practice patience. Ask for help if you need to, all the while staying in a state of gratitude for the things that are going well in your life. Focus on this rather than the negative. When faced with many choices, use both your logical left brain and your intuitive right brain. See this situation as a chance to integrate both.  The next two weeks are a time of growth and development.
Blog #24:  How to Raise the Energy Level of Your Home

Retrieved from: www.completehome.com.au

How do you feel in your own home? Is it peaceful, calm, serene?  Is it a place you look forward to coming home to? Do you get a sense of well-being every time you walk through the door?  Is it your high energy refuge that helps you feel revitalized yet restful at the same time?  If so, chances are you are doing a wonderful job of keeping the energy level or vibrational level up, and this is what you are feeling.

Have you ever wondered how you are doing that? Or wondered why is it that you don’t get this feeling in the homes of friends, relatives, or acquaintances?  Much has to do with the vibrational level of the people living in the home and the people who visit there.

So what does that mean, and how do you change the energy level of your  home to a higher level if you feel that it could be even higher?

Some answers to this are found in the following, which gives a number of different ways to increase the energy level of your surroundings. It is not limited to your home; these principles apply to your office or work space too.

Remember, everything is energy, and in order to keep our own personal energy level up, we need to be surrounded by positive vibrations as much as possible.  One way to do this is to increase the energy of your own home to the highest level possible.

Here are some ways you can do this:

Ø  Set an intention that your home (or office) is filled with love and attracts loving people.  You can do this every morning. It takes little time, and if at the office, no one will even know you are doing it.

Ø  Clear clutter.  This is the #1 way to bring more energy into your home and will immediately make you feel good.  Clutter is stagnation, and slow-moving energy is dense.  Simply remove anything that you do not want, use, or love anymore. It is as simple as that.  Even if you start with just a few items each day, you will be amazed at the changes you will begin feeling in your home’s energy level.

Ø  Look at furniture placement.  If the location of tables, chairs, etc. blocks or impedes the flow of energy, you should consider moving the furniture around so there is a clear space for the energy to move through.  This will help avoid stagnation.

Ø  Use an essential oils diffuser.  Natural scents are better than artificial ones that have chemicals sprayed out of a can. Select your favorite essential oils and let a diffuser circulate the lovely fragrance throughout your home. Or if you are in an office, having fresh flowers on your desk will do, or even putting a few drops of oil on a cotton ball that’s in or on your desk.

Ø  Add or remove art on the walls.  Look at all the pictures you have hanging on your walls. If they make you feel good, they are generating positive energy for you. If they don’t, then it is time to replace them with something that does make you feel good.

Ø  Look at the colors in your home.  Colors have a frequency all their own, so make sure that the colors of your walls and pictures are ones that resonate with you, and that fit the room in which they are located. For example, you may want a blue for a bedroom wall rather than a vibrant red.

Ø  Remove as much plastic as possible.  Replace artificial flowers with real ones or with real potted plants. Use natural fiber, wicker, wood, metal, and glass as much as possible.  Have only thriving, healthy, green plants around; get rid of dead ones.

Ø  Keep negative people out.  As harsh as this may sound, it is important that you don’t let angry, negative, critical, complaining people come through your door. They bring their energy with them, and it may be awhile before you can get harmony and positive energy back into your home once they have left.

Ø  Place small stone or crystal pyramids at high places in your home. Pyramids have an amazing cleansing power.  For example, in several rooms you can have amethyst, marble, quartz, or turquoise pyramids placed on top of a lamp, curtain rod holder, or window sill. (See http://www.pyramid-cafe.in/Power.html for more information on this interesting method.)

Ø  Burn sage or natural incense (sandalwood, amber, frankincense).  Sage clears unwanted energies and allows a higher energy to replace them. If sage is too strong for you, there are sage sprays that can have the same effect.

Ø  Light a pink or orange Himalayan salt lamp.  The color (orange or pink) leads to feelings of safety and security. Plus, these lamps emit negative ion particles, which cling to positive particles (which we don’t want).  They weigh down the positive ones and bring them to the ground, so they don’t float through the air and cause imbalance.

Ø  Open windows periodically to allow fresh air to circulate. It’s like bringing a bit of outdoors and Mother Nature into your home to refresh and revitalize it!

This list does not include everything that you can do to raise the energy level of your home, but it is a good start.

Blog #23:  What Is Your Spirit Animal?

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

STRENGTH:  During this bi-weekly you are feeling strong and self-confident. You are trusting your intuition more, which allows you to take risks and to feel comfortable with the outcome. Your inner strength is prominent as you look for the truth, trust your inner guidance, and give moral support to those around you.

4 OF COINS: It is time to be frugal with your finances and other material belongings. Do not buy unnecessary things that will only result in clutter, and pay attention to what you are spending and for what. Just being aware of your financial situation will go a long way towards helping you feel more secure and stable.

THE SUN: This period will be blessed with periods of joy, happiness, success, and abundance.  Be grateful for all the good that you encounter and the rewards you receive so that the energy you send outward will come back to you multiplied.

BI-WEEKLY THEME: A time to rely on yourself and your inner knowing, which will boost your self-confidence.  Feeling more sure of yourself will allow you to take risks you ordinarily would shun, so take a chance and grow. The unknown may be scary, but the results could be extraordinary. Watch your finances, and spend only for true necessities. Delay buying luxuries or things you can do without for the moment.  As you enjoy a period of success and happiness, remember that gratitude goes a long way towards keeping the blessings flowing.

Blog #23:  What Is Your Spirit Animal?

Have you ever heard of a spirit animal or animal totem? This concept has been around for a long time; the totem idea was prominent in the cultures of Native Americans and other indigenous peoples throughout the world.

According to Steven Farmer, who has written extensively on this topic, there is only a slight difference between a spirit animal or animal totem:

“Those spirits that are in animal form that teach us, guide us, empower us, and help us heal are call animal spirit guides or spirit animals.  In shamanic and indigenous cultures, they’re usually called totem animals or power animals. Often these terms are used interchangeably, although there are subtle differences in meaning.” (Farmer, 2013)

Another author says that Webster’s dictionary defines a totem as “A natural object, usually an animal, that serves as a distinctive, often venerated emblem or symbol.  A means of personal or spiritual identity.” (http://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-totems.html)

By noticing the animals and insects that are around us or those we see pictured in various ways, we can get profound insights into what they may be trying to tell us about our lives.

For example, animals can:

Ø  Represent aspects of ourselves that needs to be more developed or explored.

Ø  Symbolize a situation or emotions that have recently surfaced.

Ø  Provide guidance and intuitive insights.

Ø  Help us see a life direction we might want to pursue.

When thinking of and trying to identify our spirit animals, it is important to rely on our imagination and intuition more than on our left-brain logical, rational mind. (http://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-totems.html)

There is a lot we can learn from observing and learning about animals.  They trust that they will find proper sustenance, they live simply and naturally, and have no egos like we do.  That is one reason why they can help us learn about our own spiritual side.

It is possible that animal guides may come and go during our lives, depending on our life journey and the lessons we need to learn along the way.

How do I find out what my spirit animal is?

Here is an excellent list of questions to ask yourself if you want to identify what your animal guide or totem is: (courtesy of http://www.legendsofamerica.com/na-totems.html):

  • “Have you ever felt drawn to one animal or another without being able to explain why? This could be animal, including birds and insects.
  • Does a certain kind of animal consistently appear in your life? This doesn’t necessarily have to be a physical appearance, it could be represented in other ways such as receiving card and letters with the same animal pictured over and over, unexplainable dreams of a particular animal, watching television and seeing the same animal featured time and time again, or, actually having the animal show up.
  • When you go to the zoo, a park, wildlife area, or forest, what are you most interested in seeing?
  • Are there any animals that you find to be extremely frightening or intriguing?
  • Is there a particular animal that you see frequently when you’re out in nature?
  • Have you ever been bitten or attacked by an animal?
  • Have you ever had a recurring dream about a certain animal, or a dream from childhood that you have never been able to forget?
  • Are you drawn to figurines or paintings of a specific animal?”

There are many books and articles about what is the meaning or symbolism for a variety of animals. An easy-to-read reference book is Steven Farmer’s book, as given in the source list below.  As you will see, the symbols are mostly related to specific characteristics that the animals have.  For example:

Ø  A dove could represent love or spiritual renewal

Ø  An eagle’s message could be that it is time to get a broader perspective and vision related to your life

Ø  A raccoon could be saying that you have all the resources you need despite your doubts

Ø  Even the little ant reminds us that it is time to be industrious and complete that project that we started.

So if you are wondering what your spirit or totem animal is, start today to keep your eyes open and begin noticing the animals and insects around you.  You may be delightfully surprised at the messages you start receiving!

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

THE MAGICIAN: You will be very powerful the next two weeks, so take advantage of it by thinking of what you want or would like to achieve and let the Law of Attraction work for you.  It is as if you have a magic wand and can bring into your reality whatever you desire.  Believe this is so, do your work, and wait for the results.

10 OF SWORDS: You have really been through a challenging time and feel perhaps discouraged. However, this cycle is about to end and you will enter a time where things are looking up. There is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel.  You are almost there, so be patient, for it is coming.

THE MOON: Right now things are a bit unsettled and unclear, so just go with the flow and try not to make any major decisions. Trust what your intuition or gut instinct is telling you, for you are more intuitive than you give yourself credit for. When the time is right to decide something or take some action, you will know it.

9 OF SWORDS: Do not let feelings of anxiety and worry get you down. As soon as you feel yourself going into a negative frame of mind, immediately stop those thoughts and start thinking of something more positive, such as all the things in your life you are grateful for. This will do wonders to dispel the clouds of fear that might be hanging around.

BI-WEEKLY THEME: You are very powerful and can accomplish much, so use this energy to best advantage during this time. Do not doubt yourself, nor dwell on the difficulties that have been existing in the past. Things are about to change, so hang in there. Trust your intuition and just let things be until you feel more grounded. Monitor your thoughts so you can keep negativity from entering; focus on the positive and show gratitude.

Blog #22:  What Is Sacred Geometry?

 Retrieved from: www.endrespohtos.com

Sacred geometry is a branch of mathematics composed of geometric ratios and patterns that are used in  the design and construction of many buildings in our world, such as: churches, medieval cathedrals, temples, mosques, monuments, altars, sacred groves, the pyramids, and Greek and Roman architecture.

It is believed that the study of sacred geometry originated through the study of nature and the associated mathematical principles.  For example, the chambered nautilus is able to maintain its shape as it grows because its shell forms a logarithmic spiral. Honeybees build their hives in the shape of hexagonal cells because this is an ideal shape to hold their honey.  And it goes even further than that, as one author states:

“The strands of our DNA, the cornea of our eye, snowflakes, pine cones, flower petals, diamond crystals, the branching of trees, a nautilus shell, the star we spin around, the galaxy we spiral within, the air we breathe, and all life forms as we know them emerge out of timeless geometric codes.” (http://www.sacred-geometry.com/)

Since sacred geometry encompasses ratios, the figures symbolize the metaphysical principle of the relationship of the part to the whole—that ultimately everything is one.  The sphere is the simplest and most perfect of forms that expresses unity and completeness.  All points on the surface are equally accessible, and it is the basis for the physical world—starting with atoms, which make up other spherical shapes such as cells and seeds at the microcosmic level, to planets and star systems at the macrocosmic level.

The golden ratio (Phi—1.618) is often mentioned in relation to sacred geometry.  It is “the unique ratio such that the ratio of the whole to the larger portion is the same as the ratio of the larger portion to the smaller.”  (http://www.sacred-geometry.com/)
In our modern world, sacred geometry is not fully given the recognition it deserves. As one author says:

“We are born into an era that chooses ‘rational’ explanations for life.  As a result, some aspects of sacred geometry are now lost to the majority of our generation.  We exist with no real sense of our place in our world, not realizing that sacred geometry is very much intertwined into the daily fabric of our daily lives.  The human body is designed according to a precise and uniform ratio Phi, (1.618), also known as the golden ratio.  The ratio of the measurement from the top of the head to the navel and the measurement from the navel to the floor approximates this golden ratio.” (http://www.thehealersjournal.com/2013/04/29/sacred-geometry-meaning-secrets/)

And it gets even better:  “If we see flowers with 5 petals, we can be sure they produce edible fruits. If we see 3-fold or 6-fold plants, we know not to eat them as they will most likely be inedible or toxic, and will require further processing in order to be used for medicinal purposes. . . .Countless contemporary products are designed with the fundamental principles of sacred geometry, like the seemingly ordinary wine glass, whose shape actually harnesses positive flow of energies.” http://www.thehealersjournal.com/2013/04/29/sacred-geometry-meaning-secrets/)

Even though our society has not fully appreciated the miracles wrought in nature as embodied in sacred geometry, there appears to be a resurgence in its interest.  Perhaps we are finally getting away from the notion that everything has to be measured using the Arabic numbering system and, for example, that building materials must be standardized.  As author Catherine Yronwode states:

“During the 19th century the sizes of construction materials became quite standardized for the first time.  A common brick was 2 x 4 x 8 inches; lumber came in 12-foot lengths that were 1 or 2 or 4 or 8 or 12 inches wide and a similar choice of numbers deep.  Construction therefore took on a more arithmetic aspect than it had when geometric ratio was the prime mover behind design.” (http://www.luckymojo.com/sacreddefined.html)

Sacred geometry uses sacred universal patterns that can be seen in nature and in many beautiful structures that have been built through the ages.  Perhaps it is time for us to begin appreciating once more the mysteries and beauty that are incorporated into sacred geometry.

Blog #21:  Science and Spirituality

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

KING OF COINS: This is a time when abundance can flow to you if you will work towards this end and allow it to come to you. You are powerful and have the ability to manifest whatever you want.  It is up to you to realize that what you have been working on in the physical world can indeed happen during the next two weeks.  Stay positive, use the Law of Attraction, and be amazed at the results.

ACE OF COINS: A new source of abundance is headed your way. It could be in the form of a new job, a promotion, a career change, or a new opportunity that you did not see before. It could also be an improvement in health or your sense of stability--anything that relates to the physical material world. So be on the lookout for a fresh start somewhere, because the possibility is there.

PAGE OF CUPS: Whatever relationships are in your life right now can be enhanced by you recognizing you have the power to make them even better.  The Page is telling you that you can fill his cup with what you desire, so be more child-like--like him-- by taking a playful approach to life and living in the moment.

BI-WEEKLY THEME: A time of abundance that will allow you to use your King energy to manifest whatever you want. It is up to you to take action to bring this about. There is also a new beginning that will take effect in your life if you open your eyes to recognize it when it comes. It may be obvious--like a new job--or more subtle--like an improved situation related to finances, job, health, or home. Have fun in your relationships and live in the present so you can enjoy every moment. This is a time for being less serious with those in your life.

 Blog #21:  Science and Spirituality

At first glance, it may seem that science and spirituality are so far apart that we may wonder why we should even consider that they might be related.  However, with more advances in the quantum physics field, which is showing that everything is made up of energy, it becomes easier to see the connection between these two separate modalities.
When we look at Albert Einstein’s basic theory of E=MC2, what this says is that “energy is created by having mass move at the speed of light and mass is created by having energy slowed down.” (http://macaulay.cuny.edu/eportfolios/artsandculturewithreese/2011/02/06/science-and-spirituality-go-hand-in-hand/) The three states of matter (solid, liquid, gas) are merely particles that are moving (vibrating) at different speeds.  Gas, which is usually invisible, can be made visible by slowing down its molecules so it becomes a liquid or a solid.
So just because something cannot be seen with our five senses does not mean that it does not exist.  In the past, scientists refused to consider exploring things that we couldn’t see. But with advances in technology we are now able to see beyond the veil of what was once invisible  and can now observe all the wonders of the universe that before had been hidden from us.
This new technology—such as more powerful electron microscopes and more far-reaching telescopes—has allowed science and spirituality to merge more than ever before.
We learned in science classes that energy and matter cannot be created nor destroyed; they can only be transformed from one state to another.  So what we are seeing is that different forms of energy—light, sound, chemical, physical, heat, kinetic—can be transformed from one form into another.
One author explains it as follows:
“It is fast becoming clear, even to many scientists and doctors, that you can’t separate science and spirituality. They go hand in hand.  We are spiritual beings living a physical life, and it is in every cell and atom.  It is what gives the cells life.  Our beliefs about everything affect who and what we are and how we live our lives right down to our very health.” (http://alexandrabarrett.wordpress.com/2009/10/20/science-and-spirituality-go-hand-in-hand/)
Carl Sagan notes that the word “spirit” is derived from the Latin word for “to breathe”.  Since we breathe air, which is physical, there is no implication in the word spiritual that we are referring to anything other than matter.  Therefore, he argues, science is the source of spirituality. He compares the sense of enormity we get when viewing the universe as an experience that transcends the physical world—it evokes feelings similar to what we feel when viewing great art, listening to wondrous music, or reading profound and moving literature.  He says that the “soaring feeling, that sense of elation and humility combined, is surely spiritual.” (http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2013/06/12/carl-sagan-on-science-and-spirituality/)
Deepak Chopra does a good job of explaining that consciousness is the common ground that unites spirituality and science.  He says that “fundamental science has come to a place where the ultimate questions of matter and creation cannot be understood unless consciousness is accounted for and factored in.” (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/deepak-chopra/our-future-depends-on-spi_b_5194776.html)  Since spirituality is rooted in the concept related to things that cannot be perceived with the five senses, what we are talking about here is pure consciousness, the basis for the subjective world (the mind) and the objective world related to the senses (matter).
Another author, Larry Culliford, explains that part of the problem is that for so long spirituality has been associated with religion and religious teachings.  Spirituality is not the same as religion, yet scientists viewed the two as similar, thus preventing them from exploring the connections that might exist between science and spirituality.  As he so clearly states, using an excellent example:
“To undertake scientific investigation, you have to start with an idea, with some intuition about what to look into and where you might begin to find answers. Science, in other words, begets creativity. Intuition may also be required to furnish explanations and further avenues of investigation. Creativity and intuition are among those mysteries of consciousness that link the everyday, analytic mind to the holistic insights of the spiritual dimension. A good example is that of the chemist Kekulé, who had a vision of a serpent swallowing its own tail during a kind of waking trance or daydream, and knew instantly by intuition that the structure of carbon, which he had been investigating, involved six carbon atoms formed into a ring.” (http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/spiritual-wisdom-secular-times/201402/science-and-spirituality-0
He concludes by saying that "Science and spirituality belong to one another. . .And science alone cannot give anyone the full picture."
In conclusion, science and spirituality are intertwined and can no longer be considered separate, because of the scientific discoveries that are showing that everything is energy.  And science is starting to look for a physical basis for consciousness (the mind) by attempting to pinpoint it to a physical location in the body.  An exciting future awaits the continued saga of these explorations.

Blog #20:  What Is Synchronicity?

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

3 OF COINS:  During this bi-weekly you will be really involved in your work, a hobby, or a special project where you enjoy what you are doing.  You feel like you are fulfilling your heart's desire and accomplishing something worthwhile. Each time you engage in this work you feel as if you are "in the zone", where time does not exist and you are in your own world.  Be grateful for these feelings, for they show that you are on your divine path.

THE HANGING MAN:  Now is the time to start looking at things differently. For too long you have been keeping yourself enclosed in a box of routine, doing the same things in the same way without really thinking about them or their value.  See your life through a different pair of eyes--are there any changes you should make or want to make? Now is the time to see things clearly from a new standpoint and let yourself move forward.

5 OF SWORDS:  You have been through some challenging, at times difficult, experiences and are feeling battle-weary.  Take heart and give yourself credit for your perseverance. You are still standing, and you are ready to tackle whatever awaits you.  You are feeling good about yourself and proud that you have achieved some success even though it was not easy.

BI-WEEKLY THEME:  During these next two weeks, enjoy some activity that truly gives you joy as you realize that this is something important to you and revitalizes you.  You are doing good work at something that you enjoy, and be grateful for this.  You will also be seeing things differently, realizing that the old way of doing things no longer works, and you are feeling restless. See this as a sign to make changes now, even small ones, so you can begin creating the life you truly want. Although things have been hard at times, give yourself credit for your successes by overcoming hurdles, which has made you stronger.

Blog #20:  What is Synchronicity?

Retrieved from:  www.beautifulnow.is

When you hear the word synchronicity, what do you think of? A coincidence? Something that just happens to occur that causes you to think there is a message there? That there is a reason for everything that happens?

Simply stated, “synchronicities are patterns that repeat in time”.  (http://www.crystalinks.com/synchronicity.html)  It is true that there are no accidents, and some believe that synchronicity occurs so that we can pay attention to something that is going on in our lives.  Synchronicity happens often, but we must be aware to notice it.

Carl Jung, the famous psychologist, was the first to use the word synchronicity to

“describe what he called the ‘acausal connecting principle’ that links mind and matter.  He said this underlying connectedness manifests in itself through meaningful coincidences that cannot be explained by cause and effect.” (http://www.flowpower.com/What%20is%20Synchronicity.htm)

He believed there are three types of synchronicity:

(1)          Thoughts or feelings that coincide with an outside event

(2)          A dream, vision, or premonition of something that does indeed happen in the future (a precognition)

(3)          A dream or vision that coincides with an event occurring at a distance

As has been mentioned in previous blogs, quantum physics is showing that everything in the universe is connected.  For example, if two photons that have been connected are separated, a change in one results in a simultaneous change in the other, regardless of the distance involved. (The Quantum Entanglement theory).  So it is reasonable to think that the third type of synchronicity is real.

Another definition of synchronicity is

“the experience of two or more events as meaningfully related, where they are unlikely to be causally related. . . .The concept does not question, or compete with, the notion of causality.  Instead, it maintains that just as events may be connected by a causal line, they may also be connected by meaning.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity)

In other words, synchronicity is when two events that happen at the same time and are related in a meaningful way, but it does not mean that one caused the other.  They are connected by meaning, not cause.

What are some examples of synchronicity in our everyday lives?

Ø  You see a certain number, or sequence of the same numbers, occurring in different places throughout the day (on a digital clock, a street address, on a car’s license plate).

Ø  You are humming a tune to yourself and then when you turn on your radio, you hear that very song.

Ø  A person you have been thinking about calls you, or you see him/her unexpectedly somewhere.

Ø  You are in a bookstore or a library looking for a book about a certain topic, and unexpectedly a book falls from the bookshelf to the floor. It turns out to be related to the topic you were searching for.

Ø  You dream about something happening, or seeing someone, and that day your dream turns into reality.

To some, it seems like these things happen as if by magic.  Author Carolyn North (Synchronicity: The Anatomy of Coincidence) says that synchronicity “Gives us a sense of hope, a sense that something bigger is happening out there than what we can see, which is especially important in times like this when there are so many reasons for despair.” (http://www.flowpower.com/What%20is%20Synchronicity.htm)

So, the next time you notice something that seems like just a coincidence initially, stop and think if there is a message in what has happened.  You may be amazed that the synchronicity that has occurred is like a sign shedding light on something you have been thinking about or a problem you are trying to solve.  If we keep our eyes open and become aware of all the magic that is around us, our lives can become more meaningful, and synchronicity plays a role in it.

Blog #19:  Why Is Sound So Important to Our Health?

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

KNIGHT OF WANDS:  Now is the time to get yourself moving so that you can get some things accomplished. The Wands energy is assisting you by making you feel motivated and self-assured, while the Knight energy is contributing to a sense of restlessness.  Take advantage of this energy during these next two weeks.
QUEEN OF WANDS:  You are determined to not let anything stand in your way, and you are feeling quite self-confident.  You know what you want and you are going after it. You are not going to put up with anything that is irrelevant, unnecessary, and creating a block to your movement forward.
DEATH:  A time of change and transformation is upon you, so rather than fear it, embrace it and allow the changes to happen. Some old part of your life is going by the wayside to make way for a new way of doing things, thinking, and feeling. Allow this part of your life to die, for it is time.
BI-WEEKLY THEME: A period where the Wands energy dominates and assists you in moving forward, especially if you have felt stagnant and in a rut. With increased self-confidence and self-assurance, you are in a good frame of mind to move full-steam ahead. Take advantage of this energy, for it bodes well for you. Blog #19:  Why Is Sound So Important to Our Health?

                                                    Retrieved from:  www.beautifulnow.is
In an earlier blog, we discussed one of the Universal Laws called the Law of Vibration (see Blog #3).  It states that everything has a vibration, from sub-atomic particles to the planets and suns in the whole universe.  Sound is also a vibration, including our thoughts.

We have also learned through Blog #17 that everything is energy, so the cells in our bodies are just vibrating energy.  Therefore, we can be strongly affected by vibrational energy, whether it is positive or negative.  This includes all the sounds that we are exposed to every day.

We each have our own vibration, and vibrate at our own rate.  Our vibration changes in intensity, depending on what our experiences are.  Vibration is so important because when our bodies deviate from their normal vibration, diseases and illnesses can occur.

Human-created noise pollution is harmful to our health and can result in a wide array of health problems.  Noise affects our productivity and concentration, triggers the stress response in our bodies (releasing high levels of stress hormones), affects hearing and sleep, and can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke.

Conversely, research and science are showing that sound and light can affect and activate the body’s own healing process.  Since every living thing has its own individual frequency (vibration), the body can be subjected to electrical currents that target specific diseases and other ailments.  Sound and vibration play a major role in our lives by affecting not only our physical bodies but also our mental, emotional, and spiritual ones.

The study of visible sound and vibration is called cymatics.  A researcher in this field, Hans Jenny (1904-1972), claimed that physical healing could be enhanced by vibrational tones.  His ideas have been confirmed scientifically, and now researchers and sound therapists use specific healing frequencies to align and balance the body, leading to better health.

As strange as it seems, there is really no “matter” in the universe.  Einstein’s theory of relativity states that mass (matter) is energy, and we now know that everything is pure energy.  Many new healing modalities are being recognized and explored because of this concept.   As one author states:

“The new physics reveals that everything is moving and has a frequency.  As technology has evolved to make the world of sound visible, more scientists are forced to change their viewpoint about the vibrational nature of human beings.  And many of them are beginning to realize that sound is the source of physical life.” (http://attunedvibrations.com/)

Another author says that:

“Everything in the universe is vibrating at its own natural frequency.  We are vibrational beings and when we’re healthy, all of our cells, tissues and organs are vibrating in harmony or resonance.  Illness results when a part of the body begins to vibrate at a different frequency, out of tune with the rest.  Through the intentional use of sound and vibration, a more harmonious and optimal state of resonance can be achieved.” (http://www.thesoulofsound.com/sound-healing.html)

Some healing modalities related to sound that are coming to the forefront include:

Ø  Music at a specific vibrational frequency

Ø  Singing bowls

Ø  Gongs

Ø  Drumming

Ø  The human voice (singing)

Ø  Special sound and vibration equipment that has been developed to heal the body, such as the Rife frequency healing machine

So, if you never realized that sound is important for your health, you may want to explore some of these alternative healing methods that science is showing can be very effective by keeping your body at its normal and natural vibrational frequency.
