Blog #15:  The Effects of Food Preservatives/Chemicals on Our Spiritual Bodies

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

THE LOVERS:  The next two weeks will highlight partnerships in which cooperation and compromise are important.  Seek discernment in the choices you make regarding your interactions with others, whether they be in your personal or business life.
THE TOWER:  A significant life event will occur in some way, so be open to whatever comes your way.  Change is in the air, and if something unexpected happens, just "roll with the punches" and allow it to run its course. There is a reason why this event has occurred, and eventually you will see the good in it.
4 OF CUPS:  You may be feeling a bit of discontent, as if something is just not right.  Do not allow this feeling to cause you to miss opportunities that may be available to you.  Keep your eyes open, and focus on what you want to accomplish.
BI-WEEKLY THEME:  Pay attention to your working relationships and dealings with others, especially partners or those with whom you associate closely.  Make sure that the choices you make related to these partnerships are in your best interests.  A significant change is on the way, and although it may just come "out of the blue", accept it and move on. See what lessons you can learn from it. Be aware of all possibilities that are coming your way over the next two weeks, and let any feelings of unrest or discontent fall by the wayside. Now is the time to take action and get things done.

Blog #15—The Effects of Food Preservatives/Chemicals on Our Spiritual Bodies

Retrieved from: www.ifood.tv

We have heard how bad food preservatives and other chemicals can be for our bodies physically.  These substances, such as emulsifiers, fillers, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and chemicals that allow foods to last longer than they normally would, also affect our spiritual bodies (as well as our mental and emotional ones).  These substances are damaging because they are not naturally-occurring in our bodies and may result in extremely damaging effects, even in small amounts.

Another thing to be aware of is that foods that are over-processed can have the life boiled, pressured, drained or compressed out of them.  We need to give our bodies foods that are whole, natural, and organic so that our bodies and spirits can receive nourishing life from what we eat.
How exactly does food affect our spirit?  Janice Polansky explains it this way:

“Your body’s desire for food has its roots in your soul’s need for spiritual substance.  Your attitudes and beliefs about yourself and what you eat determine the choices you make in what you eat.  As we grow spiritually, we often see our body as a temple in which our spirit dwells, and we realize our connection with all living things.  We want to be healthier in our thoughts and actions and live in harmonious ways that align us with the spiritual truths and natural laws  and ecology of our body, our planet, and the universe.” (http://www.personalhealthdynamics.com/How%20Food%20Affects%20Your%20Mind,%20Body%20&%20Spirit.htm)
Eating healthy, natural food helps us better align with nature and thus leads to healing of our bodies and spirits.  We begin to be more aware of our own inner sensitivity to foods that do not help us feel good.  We pay more attention to how we feel after eating certain unnatural foods laden with preservatives and other chemicals.  We make conscious choices that lead to better physical and spiritual health.

For example, a vegetarian diet is all-natural and has wonderful effects.  This concept is explained beautifully as follows:

“Vegetables bring the light and energy they absorb and store through photosynthesis into your body.  Grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds bring into your body the light, energy, and life force that can create a new living plant. … The energy of natural food changes the vibration of your nervous system so that it forces the lower vibration, negative thoughts out of your system. . . . You transform your body into a temple in which your spirit can live with integrity, in harmony with your mind and body.”  (http://www.personalhealthdynamics.com/How%20Food%20Affects%20Your%20Mind,%20Body%20&%20Spirit.htm)

Way back in 1973, Dr. Benjamin Feingold linked food additives to learning and behavior difficulties in children. Chemicals are truly poisonous to our bodies because they affect the body’s chemical systems, thus leading to food sensitivities.
We all have physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.  Good health is a matter of integrating all of these bodies and recognizing that they are all connected.  We are beginning to understand how emotions affect our physical bodies (for example, negative feelings can lead to negative effects in our bodies).  We are also realizing that mental stress and anxiety can have a damaging effect on our health as well.
However, as one author has noted:

“Few today write about how we are spirits living a human experience.  As spirits we need to nourish our spirit selves as well as our physical, emotional, and mental/intellectual selves, to be able to maintain a high vibration and excellent health.  A high vibration reflects excellent vibrant health and a low vibration reflects poor health.”  (http://www.mkprojects.com/fa_foodsensitivity2.htm)
Even food preparation is important.  Food that is prepared lovingly adds more nourishing energy that helps food digest easily.  Food we prepare for ourselves and others should be prepared slowly and peacefully, as if we were fixing a meal for an honored guest.  This attitude and intention when preparing the food is like an energetic healthy boost to what is offered.

Foods to avoid:

Ø  Foods containing refined sugar and sweeteners (high fructose and regular corn syrup)

Ø  Packaged foods containing fillers, preservatives, and other chemicals (i.e., the ingredients include things you don’t recognize or can’t even pronounce)

Ø  Diet foods, which often include highly processed, chemically-derived sugar substitutes, and even have added sugars if they are called “reduced fat”

Ø  Fried foods, which contain saturated and trans fats (that have been linked to disease and other health problems)

Ø  Fast foods, which are probably the worst of the lot; they are mass-produced, processed, and filled with preservatives, artificial flavorings, colorings, and other additives.

A note about carrageenan:
Carrageenan is a food additive that comes from a red seaweed, but it has no nutritional value.  In fact, it is an insidious, dangerous substance that can be found lurking in yogurt, ice cream, cottage cheese, deli meats, soy milk, other milk substitute products, and other processed foods.  Beware! Just because a product is deemed “organic” does not mean that it has no carrageenan, so be sure to read all labels carefully.
Why is carrageenan bad?  As one author says,

“The unique chemical structure of carrageenan triggers an innate immune response in the body, which recognizes it as a dangerous invader.  This immune response leads to inflammation.  For individuals who consume carrageenan on a regular or daily basis, the inflammation will be prolonged and constant, which is a serious health concern since prolonged inflammation is a precursor to more serious disease.  In fact, the medical community  has long recognized that inflammation is associated with more than 100 human diseases.” (http://www.cornucopia.org/2013/12/carrageenan-risks-reality/)

Blog #14:  The Power and Science of Belief

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

THE EMPEROR:  The next two weeks will be a powerful time where you will feel more organized and use the logical, analytical side of your brain to get results.  Use this time wisely so that you can manifest exactly what you want and progress along your path.

JUDGEMENT:  A time for renewal and evaluation.  Look at where you are and where you want to go.  Decide if it is time to move in a new direction and if so, use your Emperor energy to make this happen.  Nothing can stand in your way if you believe this is so.  You have the ability to do magnificent things.

6 OF CUPS: The past is impacting you in some way.  It is good for us to remember positive memories as long as we do not stay focused in the past. Remember that one of the best ways we can allow ourselves to be happy is to live in the present. It is also good for us to be more playful like a child, not taking things so seriously.

BI-WEEKLY THEME:  Use the power of the Emperor energy to forge ahead, believing in yourself, and expressing self-confidence that you can achieve whatever you want. (See the blog below for enlightening information on the power of beliefs.)  Spend part of the next two weeks looking at your life critically and deciding if you like where you are.  If you wish to move forward or in a different direction, now is the perfect time to begin this part of your journey.  Although you may be looking back into the past, perhaps wishing things could be the way they used to be, remember that the past is gone and it cannot be changed. But you can use the present to set goals for the future and create the reality you desire.

Blog #14:  The Power and Science of Belief

 Retrieved from www.vbschools.com

A belief is the way we choose to think about and perceive the world.  Having control over our beliefs is one of the most powerful things we can do to make our lives joyful and abundant.
Because this is true, we must understand where our beliefs come from.  Many of them were passed down to us while we were young from our parents, teachers, society, friends, and others who have played a significant role in our lives.  If we take time to think about what beliefs are holding us back, then we write them down and figure out where they came from, we will realize that we can change these beliefs into more positive ones.  The first step is to write what we want to change them to.

However, few of us look at our beliefs critically; we accept what we have been taught as “the truth”.

So when we believe something, it becomes our truth.  Our beliefs determine the choices we make, and the actions resulting from these choices shape the world around us and therefore our lives.  Our beliefs act like a filter because when facts are presented to us, we either accept them (if they conform to our beliefs) or we ignore them (if they do not agree with our beliefs).

Here is a good summary:

“In a nutshell, the power of belief is key to creating your ideal reality.  You must believe that you already are or have that which you intend in the present moment.  The secret to belief is to take your intentions for granted to the point of indifference, not because you do not care if they materialize or not, but because you know they already have.  (italics added)  When you get into the mindset of being grateful for those things which have already been given to you, including your intentions, you will have learnt the secret to turbo charging the manifestation of your choices from the mental to the physical realm.” (http://www.mind-your-reality.com/power_of-belief.html#Part 2)

Is there a scientific basis for the above statements?  Yes, there is.  It is grounded in quantum physics, which studies, explores, and explains how everything in the physical world comes into existence. It explores the nature of reality beginning at the subatomic (unseen) level.  Quantum physics has shown that everything in our physical world is all energy.  It is a detailed study of the building blocks of the entire universe—the seen and unseen.

The purest form of energy is referred to by physicists as “wave forms of probability that exist within an infinite field of probabilities”. (http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/be-still.html). Every past, present, and future exists as a wave form.

We all learned in school that everything in the physical world is made of molecules and atoms. Atoms are made of photons, electrons, and neutrons.  Scientists have more recently discovered that these particles can be broken down into even smaller particles called leptons, quarks, and bosons.

There are two kinds of physics:  Newtonian physics, which states that atoms are the fundamental building blocks of nature, and they are solid.  Then Einstein came along and declared that atoms could be broken down further, and that the subatomic particles are pure energy.  He proved that all things broken down into their most basic form is made up of the same “stuff”. This one energy makes up everything that exists in our world and the entire universe.  He believed that this energy was in the form of particles; that is, they appeared to be solid. However, another physicist, Thomas Young, believed that energy exists as a wave form and is not particles at all.

To make things even more confusing, another physicist, Neils Bohr, said that energy could be either waves or particles. Another way of saying this is:

“Anything and everything which exists in the entire cosmos…is merely a vibrating frequency of energy which joins together with energies of the same harmonious frequency to form what we ‘perceive’ to be reality and as a result determines what we experience in the physical world.” ((http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/be-still.html).

As more technically sophisticated equipment was developed, the research showed that this energy (these subatomic particles) did consist of waves which behaved and turned into particles under certain conditions.

What are these conditions? The energy cannot exist as waves and particles at the same time.  As was eventually shown, energy is waves and when attention is placed on it, all other probabilities collapse (wave forms) and a “particle” (matter) is formed.  The thoughts and perceptions of the scientists doing the experiments determined which it was—waves or particles.

Another way to say this is that the observation (attention) of the scientist doing the experiment converted wave forms of “probability” into “particles” of matter.

“The conclusion then was that this energy, these subatomic particles acted and responded in exact proportion to the ‘thoughts’ and ‘beliefs’ that the scientist who was studying them had at that moment. . . The obvious conclusion…is that YOUR thoughts are also creative….this energy, these initial ‘wave forms’ transmute into subatomic particles which are directly affected and TAKE FORM based on the thoughts and beliefs of the person thinking them.” (http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/be-still.html).

Quantum physics has shown that our thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions of any and every event, condition, or situation in our lives determine how our life experience will manifest (be created) in the physical world.

Put another way,

“Your thoughts, (which are also energy) which are determined by your beliefs, which in turn form your perceptions, are broadcast outward into the infinite field of “wave” energy much like a radio frequency, transformed from waves (spiritual realm) to particles (matter) and join together with additional energies which vibrate at a harmonious frequency and collectively join to shape what you come to see and experience in physical form in the physical world.  YOUR physical world.” (http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/be-still.html)

This is the scientific basis for the Law of Attraction.  If you can think of and believe in the materialization of your biggest hopes, dreams, and desires, they already exist as a wave in the quantum field as a probability of existence, only waiting for you to make them real.

BLOG #13:  Intention vs. Expectation

"Infinite Possibilities"
Retrieved from www.zenhealying.com

I am sure you have heard about the importance of intention and how intending something will help you manifest it.   But have you ever stopped to wonder about the difference between setting an intention and having an expectation that something that you want will happen?
This article attempts to help you discover the difference between these two actions so that you will know when you are setting an intention and when you are just expecting something to occur.

Expectation is a belief that something will happen; the main idea is that we expect a certain result or outcome.  However, results may depend on factors that are out of our control, and therein lies the problem.  We cannot expect to have full control over every single thing.  If we are attached to a particular outcome while making an effort to achieve it, we may cause ourselves a certain amount of anxiety and fear of not reaching the outcome that we want.

An alternative is to live with intention.  We can have the intention to achieve and carry out the required efforts to succeed without being worried that the specific result we have in mind may not be achieved.  We do not focus on one specific outcome; we just put it out to the Universe and allow spirit to bring us the result that is in our highest good.
A dictionary definition of intention is “to give consideration, turn to or focus one’s attention, to have a plan, to think, conjecture or propose” (http://coachcampus.com/coach/portfolios/...).  This author goes on to say:

“So, if we set our intention toward a goal, aim or purpose, while being detached from the outcome, we can pay full attention to our efforts, to the process or the journey, which can lead to the results/outcome.  When we intend something, and are open to the actual(and possibly different) outcome, there is an opportunity to learn, stay curious and be with a new, perhaps better, outcome.  It will free ourselves from the fear of “losing”; it will allow us to focus on the present and enjoy the process.” (http://coachcampus.com/coach/portfolios/
Deepak Chopra states this concept beautifully:

“An intention is simply a thought impulse which gives structure and direction to creative energy. It arises from a neutral state of awareness.  Expectation is a hope that something will happen.  It comes from an ego state that is identified or attached to the outcome.  Using intention allows you to remain detached from the outcome and therefore the process of manifestation helps our spiritual  growth.” (https://www.deepakchopra.com/blog/view/175/intention and expectation)
Another author states a similar idea:  “When we set expectations around specific outcomes we limit what is possible.  When we set an intention from a deeper place of knowing, we are in touch with an authentic state of being and open to what organically evolves.  From this state of being something outside of our imagination can be created.” (http://www.theawakenedman.com/no-more-mr-nice-guy/intentions-vs-expectations)

Expectation creates an attachment between us and what we want or expect.  The attachment then becomes a hindrance or block to achieving what is best for us, so it drives home the point that we must just “let go”!

So, the next time you want to bring something into your life, ask yourself these questions:

Ø  What are my expectations?

Ø  What are my fears if my expectations are not met?

Ø  What expectations do I need to let go of?

Ø  What is my intention?

Ø  Am I ready to just let go and allow the universe/spirit to bring me whatever is best for me at this time, in whatever way that is right for me?
Then, set an intention, such as:  “I intend today to be a wonderful day where everything that happens is for my highest and best good.”

BLOG #12:  The Powerful, Amazing Ho’oponopono Prayer

retrieved from www.deskofbrian.com

Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian practice that was a type of family therapy characterized by reconciliation and forgiveness.  It has been defined as a way for relationships to be set right. It is a healing process that corrects, restores, and maintains good family relationships among family members and their gods or God by getting to the root causes of problems.  It is a clearing and forgiving process that can free is from past regrets, problems with people, and negativity within ourselves.

An important part of ho’oponopono is to ask: What is it in me that is causing this event to take place, this person to behave this way, this sickness to manifest, etc.? Blaming others practically guarantees that the problem will happen again. Every problem can be seen as a blessing and an opportunity to constantly “clean” our energy to make way for divine energy to guide and inspire us.

All that happens in our lives is not our fault, but it is our responsibility, which means we must accept it, own it, and love it.

This all makes sense if we remember that we create our own reality. This means that whatever we experience, whatever we see, feel, and perceive with our senses is coming from within us.  We have no one to blame but ourselves if negative things happen to us.  So what is the solution to this? What can we do about it, especially if we believe that we are responsible only for what we ourselves do, not what anyone else does?

As mentioned in a website article on Joe Vitale’s book Zero Limits, “The basics of ho’oponopono is that we take 100% responsibility for whatever comes into our experience, whether it is something we ourselves are doing or it is a problem with a loved one, if someone confides in us about a problem, or even if we hear something on the news. Anything that evokes negative emotion which includes doubt, fear, guilt, etc.” (http://www.essenceofthedivine.com/hooponopono.html)

Although Ho’oponopono is very deep with many levels, a short version is to picture the person, event, problem, or situation you are out of alignment with and repeat this very simple prayer:

“I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

When you say “I love you”, the energy is transmuted from stuck to flowing. It reconnects you to the Divine/God/Source.

By saying “I’m sorry” and “Please forgive me”, you are telling the Divine that you want forgiveness inside yourself for whatever brought the negativity to you.  You are not asking God/the Divine to forgive you; you are asking the Divine to help you forgive yourself.

When you say “Thank you”, you are expressing gratitude and showing faith that the issue will be resolved for the highest good of all concerned.

Say these four sentences as often as possible, especially when you are feeling negatively towards anything or anyone.  If you hear or see anything that evokes negative feelings, say the prayer.

An amazing example of the power of this prayer

The power of this prayer came to the forefront through a therapist in Hawaii named Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len.   Unbelievable as it sounds, he cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients at the Hawaii State Hospital without even seeing them.  It was such a dangerous place that there was high employee turnover, and psychologists quit on a monthly basis. The patients were so violent they were often shackled, none could leave, and they were denied visits with family.  During the four years that he was there, he studied the inmates’ charts and looked within himself to see how he was part of creating that person’s illness.  As he improved himself, the patients improved.

Dr. Len never saw the patients.  He agreed to have an office on-site and review their files. While he read the files, he would work on himself.  As he worked on himself, patients began to heal.  Eventually, patients were being allowed to walk freely without shackles, those who were heavily medicated were getting off of their medications, and those who never had a chance of being released were being freed. In addition, the staff absenteeism and turnover disappeared.

So what was Dr. Len doing within himself that caused these people to change?

He said that he was merely healing the part of himself that brought them into his life.  He explained that total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life—simply because it is in your life—is your responsibility.  In a truly literal sense, the entire world is our own creation.

This is very hard to understand. Being responsible for what we say or do is one thing. But being responsible for what everyone in our lives says or does is quite different. Yet the truth is this:  If we take complete responsibility for our lives, then everything we see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is our responsibility because it is in our lives.

So, anything that we don’t like—the government, the economy, the big corporations, politicians—is our responsibility to heal. The problem isn’t with them, it is with us—and to change these things, we have to change ourselves.  This is tough to accept, because blame is far easier than total responsibility. But healing for Dr. Len and in ho’oponopono means loving yourself.  If we want to improve our lives, we have to heal our lives. It we want to cure anyone, we do it by healing ourselves.

How did Dr. Len heal himself? What was he doing when he read those patients’ files? He just kept saying over and over again, “I’m sorry” and “I love you.”

It turns out that loving ourselves is the greatest way to improve ourselves, and as we improve ourselves, we improve our world.  So the next time something negative happens to you, try this: Keep saying to yourself silently or aloud, “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.” You are simply asking the spirit of love to heal within you what was creating the outer circumstance that was negative.

Whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there’s only one place to look:  inside you.  And when you look, do it with love.  Dr. Len’s message is that we are all responsible for everything we see in our world. By taking full personal responsibility and healing the wounded places without ourselves, we can heal ourselves and the world.

The four-stage process for ho’oponopono work is as follows:  Whenever a place for healing presents itself in your life, open to the place where the hurt is within you, and with as much feeling as you can, say:

Ø  I love you.

Ø  I’m sorry.

Ø  Please forgive me.

Ø  Thank you.

Blog #11:  The Effects of Fluoride on the Pineal Gland

Retrieved from www.sciencephoto.com

The pineal gland is a very small gland shaped like a pine cone that is located in the middle of the brain, between the two hemispheres.  One hormone it secretes is melatonin, which helps regulate our sleep and protects our bodies from the damaging effects of free radicals.

The pineal gland has been referred to as the Third Eye, the Eye of Horus, or the Seat of the Soul.  Several religions around the world use a pine cone to symbolize the pineal gland, such as the staff of the Egyptian god Osiris and the Pope’s staff.

Although the pineal gland looks like a pine cone externally, on the inside it looks similar to an eye.  In fact, the inside walls of the pineal gland consist of rods and cones, similar to what is found in the retina of the eye.  This could be why ancient civilizations and spiritual teachers referred to the pineal gland as the third eye, the mind’s eye, or inner eye.

Mystical properties have been attributed to the pineal gland because it plays a role in our ability to connect to other dimensions when we are in the dream state.  It is our bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds.  In essence, it is a spiritual organ.

If we have trouble meditating or remembering our dreams, it is possible that this is caused by blockages in the pineal gland due to calcium deposits that accumulate and harden it.

What causes the pineal gland to harden?

One of the main culprits that causes the hardening is fluoride—not the naturally-occurring calcium fluoride found in nature, but the chemical synthetic version known as sodium fluoride.  This type of fluoride is actually a poison.  It is a hazardous waste material that is a by-product of the fertilizer industry, and until recently it was an active ingredient in rat poison.

The hardened parts of the pineal gland have the highest concentrations of fluoride in the human body, higher than either bone or teeth.

How do we decalcify our pineal gland and activate it?

The main thing to do is reduce our intake of fluoride by:

Ø  Using only natural no-fluoride toothpaste and avoiding fluoride treatments from dentists.

Ø  Drinking purified or filtered water. (Bottled water can also be fluoridated, so be sure to check what your water contains).

Ø  Eating fresh organic plant-based foods.

Ø  Avoiding processed drinks like sodas, juice drinks, sports drinks, etc.

Ø  Avoiding processed foods and meats (such as frozen chicken fingers or chicken nuggets).

Ø  Avoiding use of non-stick pans (which increase the fluoride content of food).

Ø  Working with crystals and deep blue stones that help open the third eye chakra, such as lapis lazuli, sapphire, or sodalite.

Ø  Meditating and performing other spiritual practices.

BLOG #10:  INTUITION AND HOW TO USE IT
Retrieved from www.umsonline.org

In her book Practical Intuition, Laura Day defines intuition as:  “…a non-linear, non-empirical process of gaining and interpreting information in response to questions.” (p. 83)  It is a way for us to gather information without relying on our five senses to get data.  We do, however, have to use our senses, memory, experiences, feelings, and thought processes to interpret this information.  The goal is to use our intuition more effectively by bringing the unconscious information it gathers to a place where our conscious mind can interpret it.

So:
Ø  Intuition does not proceed in logical steps, and it does not need to reason. It instantly knows. We receive symbols that we then interpret.
Ø  The intuitive impressions we receive must be interpreted to be useful.
Ø  Intuition responds to questions. The question allows us to focus our intuition on what is asked, and this tells us what we need to pay attention to.

Another definition:  Intuition is a mechanism of instinctive knowing which does not require nor use logical thought processes.

Why is intuition important?
In our technology-laden society, we have increasingly become detached from the world around us. We often ignore the information we are picking up because it is too overwhelming.  We must become tuned in to what we are sensing, thus allowing our mind to consciously retreat into the background so we can gather intuitive information.

Once we learn how to use our intuition, we can rely on it to give us information over and above what we perceive with our five senses. This helps us to move through life more easily.  The key is to trust that what we are getting is real, and the way to do this is through practice.

According to Carl Jung, intuition is a major function of the human mind, in addition to sensations, thinking, and feeling.  Balancing all four functions helps us reach our full potential as humans.

Important concepts
Ø  Intuition is more likely to express itself through symbols rather than a logical progression of  ideas.
Ø  Intuition is how the subconscious mind communicates with the conscious mind.
Ø  Intuition perceives the world in fragments of wholes rather than parts that must be analyzed.
Ø  We all start out as young children quite intuitive, but as we get older we learn to distrust it because our society tells us it’s not real. We shut down this channel of information and doubt our intuitive voice.
Ø  We don’t recognize intuition because of the way we receive it—through symbols and fragments. If it doesn’t make sense to us, we dismiss it as our imagination.
Ø  “Everything you perceive—everything you sense, or remember, or feel, or dream, or intuit, in short, everything you notice—has meaning. Everything.” (Day, p. 58)
Ø  Intuition is a natural ability we all have.  It is not limited to just a few gifted people.

The two steps of intuition
(1)  We receive intuitive data in response to a question, and it usually presents itself in symbols. This information cannot be logically analyzed.

(2)  We interpret the symbols and put them together. We use our logical mind to fill in the gaps so the symbols make sense.

Benefits of developing your intuition
Ø  Helps to reduce stress by dealing with problems more effectively.
Ø  Puts us in contact with our subconscious, which helps us uncover truths about ourselves and situations.
Ø  Integrates left and right brain functions, which gives us a fuller perspective on issues.
Ø  Helps us make better, more integrated decisions.

A summary of the process
“The intuitive state is simply one in which you gather information without relying on your senses or mental processes.  Instead of blindly relying on this intuitive information, you must then assemble, verify, and interpret it in a rigorous fashion. In that sense intuition is a two-step process, not unlike that of first having dreams and then waking up to interpret them.” (Day, p. 98)

Notes about the symbols we receive
Ø  Intuitive information does not always come to us as a yes/no answer. We receive the symbols which have to be interpreted by our rational mind.
Ø  The same symbol can have completely different meanings for two different people. Our interpretation depends on several things, such as our experiences and the context in relation to the question.
Ø  The impressions and symbols we receive don’t have to make sense.
Ø  Since intuition is natural, we don’t have to try to receive impressions.  We must just allow ourselves to report what we are getting in response to a question.

Blog #9:  Summary of 12 Universal Laws

LEGACY OF THE DIVINE TAROT

4 OF SWORDS: It is important to take time for yourself, especially if you have been under some stress.  Take a break by going for a walk, doing something that you enjoy, or spending more time with family and friends.

3 OF SWORDS: You may experience a loss, disappointment, or challenge during this time. It is important to remember that everything goes in cycles (Universal Law 11--the Law of Rhythm), and that there is a lesson to learn in every difficult experience. Things will eventually improve, so change any negative thoughts into positive ones so that you will start attracting positive energy (Universal Law 7--the Law of Attraction).

PAGE OF WANDS:  As things move forward over the next two weeks, remember to be more child-like by living in the present, not taking things so seriously, and just allowing to happen whatever is meant to be.

BI-WEEKLY THEME:  Remember to think of yourself and take time to refresh and restore energy.  Accept any challenges or difficulties as they come, not resisting but going with the flow. Do not take things too seriously, which will help alleviate any stress.
