Blog #11:  The Effects of Fluoride on the Pineal Gland

Retrieved from www.sciencephoto.com

The pineal gland is a very small gland shaped like a pine cone that is located in the middle of the brain, between the two hemispheres.  One hormone it secretes is melatonin, which helps regulate our sleep and protects our bodies from the damaging effects of free radicals.

The pineal gland has been referred to as the Third Eye, the Eye of Horus, or the Seat of the Soul.  Several religions around the world use a pine cone to symbolize the pineal gland, such as the staff of the Egyptian god Osiris and the Pope’s staff.

Although the pineal gland looks like a pine cone externally, on the inside it looks similar to an eye.  In fact, the inside walls of the pineal gland consist of rods and cones, similar to what is found in the retina of the eye.  This could be why ancient civilizations and spiritual teachers referred to the pineal gland as the third eye, the mind’s eye, or inner eye.

Mystical properties have been attributed to the pineal gland because it plays a role in our ability to connect to other dimensions when we are in the dream state.  It is our bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds.  In essence, it is a spiritual organ.

If we have trouble meditating or remembering our dreams, it is possible that this is caused by blockages in the pineal gland due to calcium deposits that accumulate and harden it.

What causes the pineal gland to harden?

One of the main culprits that causes the hardening is fluoride—not the naturally-occurring calcium fluoride found in nature, but the chemical synthetic version known as sodium fluoride.  This type of fluoride is actually a poison.  It is a hazardous waste material that is a by-product of the fertilizer industry, and until recently it was an active ingredient in rat poison.

The hardened parts of the pineal gland have the highest concentrations of fluoride in the human body, higher than either bone or teeth.

How do we decalcify our pineal gland and activate it?

The main thing to do is reduce our intake of fluoride by:

Ø  Using only natural no-fluoride toothpaste and avoiding fluoride treatments from dentists.

Ø  Drinking purified or filtered water. (Bottled water can also be fluoridated, so be sure to check what your water contains).

Ø  Eating fresh organic plant-based foods.

Ø  Avoiding processed drinks like sodas, juice drinks, sports drinks, etc.

Ø  Avoiding processed foods and meats (such as frozen chicken fingers or chicken nuggets).

Ø  Avoiding use of non-stick pans (which increase the fluoride content of food).

Ø  Working with crystals and deep blue stones that help open the third eye chakra, such as lapis lazuli, sapphire, or sodalite.

Ø  Meditating and performing other spiritual practices.
