Legacy of the Divine Tarot

8 OF WANDS:  A beautiful time is ahead, with good things on the horizon.  Expect things to go your way and believe that there are infinite possibilities for what you can do and accomplish. Look forward to the next few weeks being wonderful and rewarding in some way.
7 OF SWORDS: Beware of untruths and possible deception, and be sure to ask for and get all the facts related to a situation. The deception may not be an outright lie, but rather that some information is being withheld so the whole story is not being presented accurately. Trust that you will see anything that does not look quite right, and act on your intuition.
10 OF CUPS:  Enjoy the companionship and support of family and friends, enjoying their company and being grateful for the wonderful people in your life.  See this as a special time to reconnect or just to relax while having a good time.
TRENDS: Enjoy the wonderful things that are coming your way and expect good things to happen. This is a great time to recognize how your efforts are paying off, and that you are in a better space than you were just months ago.  Be sure to gather facts and have all information presented to you before making a decision about something important. And above all, trust what your intuition or gut feelings are telling you. Have fun as you enjoy time with friends and family, feeing a sense of comfort and joy while being in the presence of those you love.

Blog #45: Is Wireless Technology Really Dangerous to Our Health?

Retrieved from www.skyhdwallpaper.com

Wi-Fi was introduced in 1997, and since then researchers have tried to figure out if it poses a danger to our health.  The results have been mixed, with some saying it is dangerous and others saying we don’t need to be worried about it.

Some research studies include concerns that Wi-Fi:

Ø  May contribute to insomnia:  A 2007 study showed that participants exposed to electromagnetic radiation from cell phones had a significantly harder time falling asleep, and there were also changes in their brainwave patterns.

Ø  May be damaging to childhood development and to children: Two studies found that growing fetal tissues are especially susceptible to non-thermal frequency radiation from Wi-Fi and cell phones.  And in 2011 Canadians were encouraged to limit cell phone calls, especially those under age 18.

Ø  May affect cell growth: A study performed by Danish ninth graders with two sets of plants showed the plants grown in a room with no wireless radiation grew normally, while the plants grown next to two routers  (releasing the same amount of radiation as a cell phone) didn’t grow at all.

Ø  May Interfere with sperm: Not only does heat affect sperm count, but research has shown that exposure to Wi-Fi frequencies reduces sperm movement and causes DNA to fragment.

Ø  May increase risk of cancer:

n  A 21-year old woman with no family history of cancer developed breast cancer exactly on the spot where she carried her cell phone in her bra.

n  In 2011, an agency of the World Health Organization classified wireless radiation as possibly carcinogenic, meaning that there could be some cancer risk, so more research is needed addressing the long-term, heavy use of wireless devices.

n  Studies conducted from 2012 to 2014 raised medical concerns about malignant brain tumors that could result from cell phone use.

Ø  May cause stress and fatigue: High artificial electromagnetic frequencies have been shown to disrupt the body’s natural energetic field, which can lead to stress, fatigue, and DNA changes that decrease resilience over time.

Cell phones and some tablets give off radio frequency (RF) energy waves. This is a type of radiation that is not strong enough to directly affect atomic structure or damage DNA.  But it does cause atoms to vibrate, and is dangerous at very high levels.  Therefore, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sets safety guidelines limiting RF exposure, and all hand-held wireless devices sold in the U.S. must comply with these limits.

Steps to reduce exposure

Since the results are inconclusive about the extent of harm we are exposed to because of Wi-Fi and cell phones, some cautionary steps can be taken to limit possible dangers:

Ø  Limit the length of cell phone calls.

Ø  Replace cell phone calls with text messages or use hands-free devices.

Ø  Increase the distance between the wireless device and your body.

Ø  Encourage those under age 18 to limit their cell phone use.
